Yesterday’s session was with the talented artist Sarah Jane Raffety. I have a very special place in my heart for her, as she is my mother ;) We had a lovely lunch on the patio and then put our heads together to figure out what exactly she wanted. We talked a little bit about one of her favorite photographs that she had taken, her college senior yearbook photo. I have always LOVED this image of her. When I was younger I was always intrigued by the black and white images in her yearbooks. The smell of the glue and paper when you opened the book, the intense contrasts of the black, white, and gray. I would spend hours pouring over these books, taking in the images. What could have been better inspiration for our shoot then, than this image? I love the way they turned out, and was lucky to have such a beautiful model!
Take a moment to go poke around her facebook page, and leave her some love :)
