Family Mini Session: Belton, TX

Well, well, well, looks like I have some catching up to do!  I’m still recovering from the holidays and have a few posts in the que.  I hope your year is off to a great start!  I have been busy with work and photography, but found a little bit of quiet time and thought I would share some of what I worked on over the holidays.

This was a really fun family session I shot in Belton, Texas.  I was really excited when we went downtown and found all of these funky buildings to play with.  I was even MORE excited when the Bourlands arrived in their stylish and fun purple threads! Fun family, fun colors, fun buildings, fun shoot! I couldn’t ask for more.  Mucho thanks to the Bourlands for letting me capture your beautiful family! :D

Celebration

I teamed up again with my friend Erin from Red Sole Events and helped her out with the NACE table scape design competition.  She wanted to incorporate my photography into her design, and I was more than excited to do so! Our theme was based around “celebrating life”.  My job was to create some images that give the feeling of celebration.  I cast the help of my friends and family and luckily they were all very cooperative and easy going.  I think they might have even had some fun ;)

I am challenging YOU to use the word celebration as inspiration and share what you come up with.  Seriously…. let me see what you would do. :) How would you interpret “celebration”?  Here is my interpretation……..

Happy Monday Y’all!

Baby Nolan

It is so easy to get caught up in the bustle of everyday life. Sometimes I have to stop and see where life has brought me and look back at all of the good memories along the way.  This session is now added to my “good memories file”.  I was recently contacted by my old friend Johnny, who just added a little one to his family.  Johnny has been a friend of mine since grade school and we have known each other since we were 8 years old….. that’s a loooooong time.  It was really neat to see my childhood friend, all grown up and in so much love with his family. Mucho thanks to Sarah and Johnny for giving me the privilege of stepping into their home for the afternoon and capturing their sweet family moments. Congratulations on your sweet little man. :) Now without further ado, I introduce to you, little Nolan.

Erin and Her Red Soles

I have been in Dallas for a little less than a year now and have met some of the nicest people that I call my friends.  This is Erin, owner of Red Sole Events here in Dallas.  She specializes in floral and event planning services, and is seriously creative.  I had the pleasure of photographing her last week and am really excited to share these images with you.  Notice her own pair of Louboutins, which she aptly named her company after.  We have been scheming up some fun ideas lately, that I will be sharing soon on the blog.

Thanks Erin for such a fun day!
