myPhone Monday

Wow, this past week flew by! And what a week indeed….. I am pretty sure I never stopped and am paying for it now with a cold. However I did make time to enjoy myself in the midst of the hustle….

I had breakfast with a group of lovely ladies, took a walk in the park, witnessed the saddest little blueberry muffin I have ever seen, had the pleasure of not just walking one, but two dogs :) while her mom was out of town, and then crashed on the couch with my two favorites.

What was the highlight of your week?

myPhone Monday

Hello again! It’s been a while since my last post and I have made a mid-year resolution (kinda later than mid year :)  shhhhhhhh) to be much better about this.  So to stay inspired and to make it easier on myself, I have come up with different themes for certain days of the week. Today’s theme is myPhone Monday.  These are, and will be, pictures that I have taken with my phone.  This will be Monday’s them until I decide I’m bored and move on to a new theme :) Since I am always taking pictures with my phone, I figured this would be a good way to start the week off.

These pictures were taken from our recent trip. We just celebrated our 1 year anniversary (what, what!).  We went to South Padre Island for some relaxation and rest.  We stopped by Sea Turtle Inc. which is a really great rehabilitation/conservation center for injured sea turtles. I would recommend it if you are ever in the area.  We also got up early and walked down to the beach to watch the sunrise, went on a nature walk, rode jetskis, ate some of the best fish tacos I’ve ever had, and hung out on the beach of course. It was a short but lovely little vacation. :) Here’s to many more years together! I love you Collin!

Berry, Berry Bright

Welcome to Vina Vega….. the first vineyard in San Miguel that grows and produces it’s own wine, Cuna de Tierra.  Here Collin and I had the pleasure of touring the grounds during their first open harvest and it was amazing! Not only do they grow numerous types of grapes, they also have a lot of land dedicated to farming fruits and vegetables, breeding miniature blue lobsters, and raising sheep.  This was by far one of the best days of the honeymoon. Deb Conner gave us the grand tour and made us feel so welcome with all of her hospitality and happy soul.  If you ever get a chance to make it to San Miguel, I would definitely put this on your “to do” list.  You will not be disappointed.  Promise!
